How do hand dryers work?
A motor drives an impeller that sucks air through an inlet and blows it out through an outlet onto the user's hands. Some hand dryers have HEPA filters at the inlet to remove impurities. Some include a heating coil to warm the air; modern high-speed dryers skip the coil to save energy. Higher air speed equals faster drying — but also slightly higher noise levels.
